okay, so my store is opening in 4 days. i'm going back and forth (sometimes in about 10 minutes) between freaking out and being cool about it. we're now spending around 10 hours every day over there and it's finally looking acceptable. i thought that before i post pictures of the store as it is now, i will post some of what it was like 2 months ago when we "moved in". keep in mind that when these pictures were taken, we had already cleared tons of stuff out of there. this place was trashed...wall to wall, floor to ceiling. and this is just the back room. i had no way to take a picture of the main part of the store because...well, it was bad. but we had fun anyway....

and victoria (my boss' daughter) and i found some unfortunate matching shirts. we didn't keep them.so you can see why we've recruited help. alot of people (mostly poor family members who didn't really have a choice) have put alot of time into helping us purge, gut, and redo the place.
we're on our final push to get all the loose ends and last minute maintenance before we let the city in. i'll post prettier pictures soon. :)
